Peter Cope

My initial reason for studying the martial arts was a simple one, I had been bullied at school from the age of 7 years old, the bullying even followed me to my comprehensive school.
One day my mother told me that there was a judo club in my area. After some discussion I agreed to attend. My first lesson was amazing and before I knew it I was hooked. As I attended more lessons my self-confidence soared. I trained at my judo club for about 1 year.
While I was training at my club I had a feeling there was something missing( e.g. striking with the hands and feet) and began to look at other styles of combat. Soon, I found a suitable karate club and joined. I have never looked back since.
Studying and teaching the martial arts has always been my dream and now it is a reality. If you have dreams of becoming a top class martial artist, don't think it is too late to start. It is never too late and with hard work and perseverance your dreams could come true. back to top
